I saw that interview a few years ago. It's painful to watch. His eye sockets look like there's nothing there. Such a shame. I can tell he's either got dementia or Alzheimer's setting in.

He can still probably play as it doesn't normally destroy long term memory, but he'd never be able to tell you what he had for breakfast five minutes after eating.

Thats a shame cause he was an incredibly gifted guitarist. Beautiful melodic style and in my opinion, outshined Duane Allman at times. He led a hard life for years, hopefully that isnt what contributed to this

Duane once said to an interviewer, "I'm just the famous guitar player in this band. Dickie is the best one." Or, something along those lines.
 
I miss Gregg Allman and I miss the Allman Brothers Band. R.I.P. Duane, Berry, Gregg, & Butch.

Jaimoe is still around and active. And yes, Mr Dickey Betts too. Y'all know that I'm Dickey-Head, dont you?

I'm guessing heroin addict...it has a particular look to it.
 
This is the first time i heard this artist and it will be last. No offence to the fans :wink:
