I love my small collection, but this one is a clear easy choice...

Fair question...You love it but it never gets played?
My “one” guitar choice I posted would be my Ovation acoustic.
If I had to pick an electric, it’d be tough. On one hand there’s the G400. Literally, the only thing still Epi on it is the plastic and the wood. Everything else has been swapped out. Then I bought the blue Strat a couple years ago and it’s been tough to put down. The Epi rocks. The Strat I tend to play really clean….. as in…. seldom turn up higher than 3 or 4 and it’s got a linear volume pot which does turn up and down smoother than an audio pot. It works for me. Then there’s the Hagstrom Viking. It’s just plain a cool guitar.
So yeah….. it’d be a tough choice.

It was a limited run to promote Megadeth's "Gears of War" collaboration. I went through four of them through GC when I bought it new. Each one had some issue and then finally this one was perfect. I almost got rid of it until I swapped out the Livewires for these Voodoo Customs. Removed the tone knob as well from the circuit and put in an LED kill switch. Now it's awesome. My first V was almost a mundane Mustaine, basic Black. But this,,,,,,,,,,,,,, this may have swayed me to THIS particular Dean, had I ever seen it before now. That guitar is insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes. Mine has the rounded back. Deep bowl. Not shallow like a lot of the newer Ovations.IB,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I have a FREE to me Ovation that was my fiancee Kathy's ex husband's guitar. I practically would not even want to play this thing for free. I presume yours has a rounded back, right?
If I remember right, mine might have the Classical guitar type tuners in the head stock and something is wonky about the guitar other than that round back. It might have had steel strings on it instead of classical type. I am not sure, but I seem to think something about the tuners is odd, as compared to regular Acoustic or Electric style Grovers, Kluson etc type. Something like the shafts on the pegs come sideways and the winders face backwards?
Anyone ever deal with this type mess? I pulled it out of our junk room and it is a Celebrity model CC53

My Ovation is steel stringed. I have played a nylon stringed Ovation in stores. Just not my cup of tea for what and how I play. My wife on the other hand. Nylon stringed guitar is what she learned on. Learned to play proper finger style.IBLIVE, You have me Jonesing to get some nylon strings now.
Totally makes sense, just curious as beautiful guitars are meant to be played.Fair question...I don't have much because of my forced medical retirement but the one thing I want to leave my son when I have to leave this world is a absolute mint condition Strat. I'm also sure at one point we've all sold something that we regret whether or not it was being used and this one would be it.
All of my guitars except this one hangs on the wall and are within reach from my recliner and there is no way I would hang my MIA on the wall.![]()
