As for the endless chug, I just suffer from an overabundance of creativity. And, spending years as a singer before learning to play guitar means I have a backlog of tunes in my head I couldn't play when I first dreamed 'em up.

You know, with me, I write songs on on fly when I record. I never hear riff or melody in my head. Im not a musician or guitarist, I am the guy who learned power chords and pentatonic and try to make it work.
Its long process till something sounds acceptable.
As for the drop pedal, I have it but I only like E flat and C# my ears dont like others as much.

Here's the last time I sang on one of my tracks. Definitely been too long. You can tell my tone and mixing skills have improved a little bit since then, too. LOL.
