No More Masks??

That's what they're sayin'

Im fully vaccinated, as of april 15th. Im still gonna wear mine voluntarily for 2 reasons: my kids are too young to get the vaccine and i, nor the WHO/CDC are definitively sure that you cant carry the virus if vaccinated. Thus, to be sure, i will wear mine in case i could carry it and possibly infect them until the time comes when 11 and under can be vaccinated.

No sense in endangering them now when we did everything right up until this point to protect them

A vaccinated person can still be infected and then infect others.
Although they have no symptoms they can still have COVID.
IMHO a bit premature to take the masks off.
In other-words, a very dangerous situation for UN-vaccinated people.

Thats kind of the approach we've taken in this: my wife and I might be fine on the surface but potentially afflicting our kids. So, as aggravating as it has been, we still do the routines from the beginning in prevention ( the kids dont go into stores or in busy public places still yet)

I’m just gonna leave this here....

hmmmmmmm......fully vaccinated?.....
Probably a false positive ;)
See? That's what worries me. Like Bill Maher, he didnt even know he was positive cause his vaccine reduced the symptoms to asymptomatic, yet if positive? He is a carrier. That would bring about big questions on should people be routinely tested even after vaccinations to see if they are infectious. Also, is this going to be a situation where we all will eventually be moving the virus around us freely, but never knowing it or feeling it if everyone is vaccinated ( maybe one day)? Kind of like living with it inherently

It's going to be a mess. Who's vaccinated? Who's not? I get my second shot 6/4, so I will be good a few weeks after that. I guarantee you that the anti vaxers will be running around without masks as if nothing ever happened.

This is just the government dangling a carrot to get more people vaccinated.

I’ve been running under that assumption since the political figure from New Hampshire(edit: oops! Massachusetts) tested positive after being fully vaccinated....
The vaccine will protect you from “being sick” after coming in contact with the virus....blah blah blah....

My bad....they were Mass-holes....

Edit: this was not meant as “political”....but meant to be more along the lines of “scientific“.

I know the Vaccine Passports was a thing initially being pushed, but a few state governments have jumped on that with bills and bans, declaring that as " violating one's civil rights" by denying them access to things such as flights, admittance into events etc. But if a private establishment were to deny service to someone who didnt comply with their requirements ( in this case, having proof of vaccination) how could a government overstep their bounds and force them to?

Again, kinda invoking the mandating of vaccines like Smallpox and Polio, when that was totally acceptable but this isnt for some reason

The government can't. So, I must be able to drive in Florida without a license or they would be infringing on my rights. Correct?

Let’s be careful with our path in this thread. It could easily slip into unwanted territory.
Understand completely. I personally dont think survival of mankind in combating a once in a century disease should ever be a political subject ( and god knows i have intentionally steered away from "those" topics) but i get where it will ultimately, somehow fall into that pitfall. Would be nice to have this discussion without the two intertwining

Agreed. I value discussion on the topic, as it affects all that are taking the ride on the spinning marble...no offense to the flat earthers out there.
