The Ergonomics Of A Les Paul Guitar...

I've got a couple of good Les Paul Replicas and they play great, spending as much time out on loan for recording projects and videos as they do working for me.

However, while I can play them just fine, I seem to prefer my Stratocaster shaped guitars.

I absolutely don't like bone-stock Strats. I dislike the noisy, thin/bright single coils and the horrible short radius fretboard.

The custom-made, 1-3/4" wide neck, with a 1" straight profile and 10"-16" compound radius is my preferred neck profile. Nothing plays faster or more comfortably in my hands.

The custom DiMarzio Neanderthal 16.5k AlNico9 humbucker that was created for me gives me an almost identical sonic profile to the EMG81, and the Artec Hum Canceling Single Coils with bar magnets and adjustable pole pieces, can be mounted 4/64" from the strings with absolutely zero Wolftones.

It's just impossible to beat YelloStrat...my Les Paul's are only backups now.

It's the knobs on yellow strat. They are magical.
