helters stuff

once when i lived in florida, i was sitting on the back porch watching a lizard scamper around.
came inside and this came out.

True story, One March my buddies and I took our Harleys to Daytona for bike week. We hauled them in my enclosed trailer,
A year goes by and I had lent my trailer to my buddy to haul some of his dad's belongings in up here in Maryland.
My buddy tells me he found a little stow away. It was one of those Gecko lizrds from Daytona and my friend told me it was black in color but still alive despite our bitter cold and snowy winter. Soon was our next trip and he put some weeds in a container and let the Gecko ride in style back to D,,,,,,,,, where we let him loose back at my mobile home where he likely began his life and resumed his change to natural color once we let him loose in the yard.

anyone ever had an idea for a song but never really wrote it?
we pulled this out of our butts one night.
Kerry mentioned the challenges from ST on another thread.....well, one time several years ago i came up with the challenge to record something with your crappiest, least expensive stuff. you also had to plug straight in.....no stomp boxes......however you could add effects if you wanted during mixdown.
the reason why i quoted myself is because the thing i recorded for the challenge was basically the same thing as the song in the quote.
i used a squier affinity, my 77 P bass, an epiphone studio 10s, and a sure 57.
it was recorded track by track into a boss 1180 cd. anyway......

that band i was in recorded an 8 song demo one time. one of the clubs we played all the time payed for it for us, and all we had to do was play 2 free shows. the club owner payed for 8 hours, and thats it. so we took our stuff in, including a refrigerator full of beer, and recorded these songs in half a day.....the other half of the day was spent mixing. it was done live and then backing vocals were added. mistakes were left in because of the time constraint. it is what it is. oh yeah...the song, ' my life' was just a guitar riff....pulled it out of our butts that day.
