Agree completely. Its always fun to cover something , because its kinda like paying tribute to what makes you play. I love playing along with a song ive always loved, but it can be really hard to get it right sometimes.

When a band does a cover, there's always comparisons of who did it better and i think back to someone like myself, in that maybe the band just really loved the song and wanted to pay a little homage to it and werent trying to necessarily do it better, just their take.

The only time i hate a cover is when someone just completely disrespects it and makes it into a cash grab, no heart or soul, just a hollowed shell so they can sell albums. Kinda like Britney Spears singing I Love Rock N Roll, Limp Bizkit doing Behind Blue Eyes or the worst thing to happen to mankind, even worse than the Black Death, this:
