38 Years a Strat!!! How about you?

I was looking at the Masterbilt Epi's at my mom n pop guitar shop back around 2012, Wound up liking the Epi EJ200 better for less money.
I am sure the Masterbilt was a quality built unit though.

My mom n pop shop could sell me just about any guitar in their shop if I had unlimited funds. Sadly he had to move from his larger store he had rented for at least 1.5 -2 decades when the landlord got crappy. He is now in a tiny space that I really need to go see him. He used to be a Gib dealer back in the 90's when I first met him. But then Gib had some ridiculously huge $$$$ amout of quotas for inventory bought and sold, ( What I would only surmise was the Guitar Center factor. So he was an Epi only side of Gib Retailer. Also carried Guilds then. Fenders, Squiers, Jay Turser, Ibanez Basses I know, Pearl and Mapex drums. Banjos, Acoustics were, Epi, Martin, Blue Ridge, throughout the 2000's after he stopped carrying Guilds.

Some of my local friends who were full pro or part time pro players got some nice guitars from him. I know my friend Ron's wife bought him something like a 5k Martin back in the early to mid 2000's before 2010. Maybe a Lester too. My buddy Jeff got his Danny Gatton Tele from Mr Hess as well.

Me, I've bought no fewer than 7 guitars/basses from him. Epi EJ200, Epi LP Std Honey Burst, 2 Steve Harris P basses, 1 Squier VM P, and 1 Squier VM J, and my Squier Classic Vibe Tele.

I am such a sucker for matching headstocks.

I really like this blue on blue. But typically on Fender guitars I prefer the wood color.

On my colored guitars I personally own, I like every single head stock iteration I have.
Squier Tele has a normal wood Tele Head stock.
Black Strats, P and J basses the same.

My other white guitars have Black fronts and white necks and head backs.
Washburn and SG Std

My Black SG obviously is black, Vintage Cherry SG Classic, Cherry back, Black front, Walnut SG Faded is Walnut back/Black front.

NOW for my La Tee Dahhhh fancy one. ES 135 is not only a Burst Front and back of Body, but the neck and head stock is bursted as well.

I miss going to the Village, and looking around Matt Uminov's. My favorite pizza joint is across the street.
