Opinions on Peavey cabs?

So now that I have a head, it'd be nice to have a cab as well.

This ticks a lot of boxes for me: Peavey® 112-6 1x12 Guitar Cabinet | Peavey.com
  • Celestion Greenback
  • Birch Plywood
  • Convertible back
Anyone have any experience on the build quality of recent Peavey cabs? The price seems ridiculously low for the specs - looks like it can be had for a bit over 200 €. Or perhaps other cabs are ridiculously expensive...

I don't know about these recent Chinese cabs, but I have a 430A, which is one of the later cabs made in the USA. and that has 5/8" birch ply everywhere except the backboard, which was horrible old particle board. I couldn't afford to replace it with more birch ply (which is extremely hard to source in Australia) so I had a new backboard made from 1/2" MDF like a Marshall 1960A (covered with new tolex). The factory wiring and speakers were decent but I took those out and sold the speakers, replacing them with Vintage 30s and H75 Creambacks in an X-pattern and rewiring it with 16AWG mono series/parallel.

The reason why it was so suspiciously cheap in one store was because the price I saw didn't include VAT :D 288€ seems to be the going price with VAT, which is still pretty good for a plywood cab with a greenback I think.
