Not sure what Holiday weekend it is in UK or 'bank holiday' as y'all call it.

Actually, I want both but cannot afford/justify that. It's bank holiday weekend with sales coming up, so I'll be out and about then should be writing up a New Something Day by Sunday/Monday.

Google tells me May 1st & May 29th are the two occasions this year with May 1st being 'Early May bank holiday' & May 29th being the 'Late May or Spring bank holiday'.

We don't celebrate 'May Day' here in the US more or less because it was perceived as more of a Socialist / Commie celebration an quite frankly, un-American! LOL! And funny enough actually, as of just this Monday (May 1st), many angry radical Left leaning protesters have taken to throwing fits & demonstrations while professing the virtues of Socialism! LOL Who'da thunk that huh?.

And in contrast to the angry & irreverent, May 29th just happens to be what we celebrate as 'Memorial Day' in honor of all our fallen service men & women.

Although I see no bank holiday this weekend in the UK, here in the US it does happen to be Mothers Day on this coming Sunday!!!
And what a perfect day to celebrate things by buying a new guitar or amplifier & giving it to the wife for Mothers Day knowing it will be like giving her a bowling ball with your initials on it when she doesn't bowl ! Yes, I can see it now...

^ good advice; I general come in a bit dirty, and its low volume practice, so I reckon even a 4 watt VOX would be fine.
