500 Series Equipment

I’m about to go down the 500 series equipment rabbit hole for home recording. Anyone have experience with any of these modules? I have an 8 slot chassis on order and already have a Neve 511 preamp module.

Ordered this module yesterday. Seems like a nice utility piece. I can playback a dry track and add any pedal to it externally and record the new wet track/insert. Gets all my pedals now into the mixing process!

I have never ventured down the 500 series rabbit hole...always stuck to full sized rack gear...most of it s#!te of course.

To be honest, that Black Lion box was on my shortlist for that rabbit hole when I entertained the idea again recently....nice rack sir!

I have another XLR patchbay and cables on order. I want to have all the room mics and 500 series modules IOs exposed in a patch bay module. Then it’s a patch cable exercise to get the right signal chain.

Speaking of patch bays, I’m a few cables away from having this one wired. With one patch cord I can patch from the wireless out to any of 14 amps inputs. I can also add pedals to any of the effects loops to from the PB.
