totally unpopular opinions.

I remember dad stocking up on Coors when we would go camping in Colorado. Back in the 70s you couldn't buy it east of the Missouri River or some such nonsense. The cans had the push button tops.
I remember those cans very well, there were 2 different styles, the first one is the one that could cut your finger ( I know this first hand)
The second version was two holes on top, much simpler to use but I am glad they all went to what we have now, I recall still being able to get the pull off tops in Texas in the early 80’s 79-80 hell yea

First Coors was 1987 when they were allowed east

Couple things:

It has proved unpopular, but I dig pineapple on pizza. Even better if it's cold, right out of the fridge from the night before. I'm a heathen, yes I know.

The other is that a hotdog is technically a sandwich.

And pickles have absolutely no business whatsoever even getting near my cheeseburger.

It's a good thing I don't have a job. I'm way too busy harassing people on the interwebs and letting cats sleep on me to do much of anything else.

My friends in Minneapolis want me to be there for the state fair this year, so maybe we can harass each other in person. Too bad the Triple Rock Social Club closed. That was our favorite place to start the day. Then hit several German or Polish beer halls, Psycho Suzy's, Nyes, and a few others. What the heck is the name of the place that was owned by the wrestler? Was it Slazak's or something like that?

Mayslak's I do believe. Never been to that one. Psycho Suzy's is great during nice weather. If you want a real "bar" Dusty's (home of the Dago) is just a couple blocks south of Suzy's. Unfortunately, Nye's closed a couple of years ago. It's been a long time since I drank from a glass boot over at the Gasthoff. We used to do a Saturday Oktoberfest bicycle ride in the fall hitting about a dozen or so bars in Minneapolis and St. Paul. We usually started at Tony Jaro's (home of the Greenie) just north of Suzy's at 10:00 AM. That was a fun mess. The state fair rocks. We go every year (except last). Would love to hook up.

Mayslack's, yes! That's it. My first time there (1988), he was still alive. He'd come out of the kitchen and yell at the patrons. The menu consisted of two types of Kielbasa, two types of Sauerkraut, and two types of local beer. It's a total dive, but still fun to visit, even if it has gone a bit more "upscale." Was able to get Harpoon IPA the last time I was there.

We were bummed when Triple Rock and Nye's closed. Tossed back many a pint at both. The Bloody Marys at Triple Rock were awesome. Complete with a pickle and a Snit. If it wasn't for covid, MSP would be a fun weekend trip for me, as I don't play to fly, and Delta has four or five flights a day between Boston and Minneapolis. If Bob and Pat wanted me to come out drinking for the night, it used to be pretty easy to do. We finally got my wife hooked on the state fair, so hopefully we'll be there in September.
