hey gang, I think it will be cool to have a thread '' totally unpopular opinion'' where you can write your unpopular opinions.

no debate, no bashing, no picking for having the opinion. and let's keep religion and politics out of it.

here is my unpopular opinion, you guessed it ....

I think teles radios are boring and ugly :LOL:

my honest opinion is, i wasted way way way way too much time on gear..you need certain proven things for what music you need to make..the rest is up to the player

also, DRUMS are the foundation & what you build around..think of all the mono tone 2-3 loop back tracks vs a real kit..dynamics in the drums ..the up down..tempo & feel change steer the ship

You crack me up bro, always bring a smile to me face when I wake up and read your posts, don't ever change. Please.
 
I believe the more theory you know the better musician you are. Sure some people have a natural gift and are great musicians without knowing much theory. I believe if they learned some theory they would be even better. I have a terrible ear. Knowing some theory is the only thing that allows me to jam. Once I know the key I can usually figure out the changes with a combination of knowledge and my hearing. Without the knowledge my hearing would never be good enough.

I really want to learn but I cant man, I really tried but I can't. lol after 30sec of learning my brain goes la alala alalala allaa cant hear nothin......

A lot of truth right there.^^^^^^^^^

I'm definitely not a theory guy, but without my rudimentary knowledge I'd be lost when it comes to improvised jams, or creating interesting parts.

I also do not posses a "great" ear, so I rely on formulaic writing.

If this nonsense I posted makes any sense.
 
Glowing glass bottles are overrated. The truth is that there are good amps and there are bad amps. Of all kinds. The common misconception that SS amps sound a certain way are largely based on the cheap practice amps of the 70's and 80's and simply don't hold any merit today. The truth is that none of us could tell a tube amp from a SS amp in a mix.

Now go marinate on that!
 
Honest opinion: I have wasted 26 years of guitar playing and never came close to what I should have accomplished

Unpopular Opinion: no one else I know ever reached the same potential either, no matter how good they were

Popular Opinion: $!#% it, i dont play for anyone but myself. Like it? Great. Hate it? Awesome
 
Ok, I'm sure it doesn't belong here, but I'm frustrated and I'm taking a break from the frustration.
You see, I don't mind putting in a wood floor, actually I enjoy it. But I sure as heck don't like figuring out the layout when nothing is square. In fact, I hate it.
That first board is a dooozie.

Ok, got that off my chest. Rock on!
