Session 5
Ambassador of Strings & Wings
Had to do some soldering, don't tell Adrian. Purchased 3 new battery packs, so transmitter pack had to have a different connector and it is now in the transmitter, cycled and charged new battery packs, and as you can see from the pictures, i wrap the battery pack in foam which protects from vibration. Did this for the two receiver packs, then hooked up and installed with tie wraps . Then check all electronics, make sure fail safe on receiver is working. Fail safe is for if some reason the plane was to lose signal due to environment or low battery charge, the receiver will send a signal to the throttle servo which will return the throttle to idle, this is a safety feature so the plane won't take off with full throttle. Every Canadian Pilot must have this and it must be working, its one of Transport Canada's regulations. So i do frequent checks to make sure amongst others.
