Guitars you always play

I rotate and sometimes play the same one for weeks.
But if i had to pick it comes back to the PAF HB LP types.
Mostly the Gibson (still somewhat new to me) but the 2 AXL LP types both play very well too.
I really gravitated to the LPs a few years ago when I built out the 2 AXL husks.

Yeah, I would sell that Schecter to your band mate. Let him wear out the frets till useless point. One day you can always buy another one if you get to missing it.
Take the money and buy something else like the neck for the Jackson. I think you really do prefer the Strat type bodies, 24.75 and wide necks, and of course R5 Floyd nut. Why not have a nut that basically will never wear out and frets that are near bulletproof?

After playing a 1-3/4" neck, nothing else feels right to my hands.

By almost random chance, this one sits upstairs in the office / recorder so for ideas it gets played most.

However, for gigging, depending on venue, the Explorer amd Mockingbird get lots of play cause they are so hot. The Prestiges as well.
As for just picking up a guitar and going, the Goya or L6-S. Played it for so many years, fast neck, versatile, sweet.

For band practices, I suspect based on the bamd that one of the Godins will get used lots as the acoustic ability is nice plus this one is my newest acquisition and I have to get that whammy bar worked out. A Les Paul killer, they both are.

They do all get their chance live though. Lots more to pick from.

For live work, I only take two guitars - a main and a backup. Here's a couple of shots from recent shows...

I'm downsizing unneeded guitars presently. I gave away two acoustics this morning. I personally find multiple guitars a huge distraction and I don't like distractions. There's no money in it.

Gonna get down to one YelloStrat, one double neck and the Jackson with an 1-3/4" Warmoth neck.

I'll keep one Les Paul for studio use.

Depending on the show, I take 2 to 4.
They all get their chances!
The ones i posted are likely the play the most ones, as per thread, not the whole collection.

Probably one important factor to consider is that I don't like change of any kind, so if a guitar doesn't break a string, I will not switch guitars, unless we are doing "Hotel" or "Stairway."

I may go months without ever picking up another guitar. I like familiar...

Ah OK. I like the variety. Need a whammy guitar amd a stop tail at minimum. Always nice to throw a LP into the mix too if it is not the first pick.

I've gotten so attached to this YelloStrat I got from @SG John that I use it for just about everything. I use the tremolo so much that I reduced my 1st fret string height from .020" to buzzing in one month. The super soft Graph Tech Tusq XL nut had to be replaced with unbleached bone.

I do prefer a hardtail for things like unison bends, and I do have the Les Paul's and the double neck for that kind of work in the studio, but for live work, the YelloStrat just feels so comfortable that I just stick with it.

This 1-3/4" wide, custom 'V' profile neck, is really difficult to describe. It fits my hand (I wear a size 13 glove) and allows me to hold open chords without my fingers muting the adjacent strings, something I really struggle with.

Since I am playing 6 nights a week (between 3 bands plus working daily in the studio) this is super important to me.
