Chris's Guitar Shop in Pomona:

Some say To mAYYYYto, some say To MAHHHHto.

Some like Hispanic women, some Asian, Some Russian Mail order brides. I like em all.
Guess that is why there is a thing called variety and choice. Why should musical genres, guitar models, pedal type, amps, strings, or even the hardness of our beds be any different.

NO choice is wrong, just different. I saw a recording of a live Keith Urban concert maybe 20 years ago and believe it or not, I was impressed at his skill and the show he put on. Pretty sure this was before he and Kidman were together too.

Now for back on topic.............. LOL

Glad Robert found a decent guitar guru to help him with Yellow Strat. In my neck of the woods, I am just getting this :poo:s of sourcing ANYTHING I need anymore. I can rarely easily find it in any store locally no matter how many google searches, and hunting through virtual catalogs I do, I just have trouble finding stuff I need and not have it take days or weeks to be shipped to me. Sadly, this is the curse that comes with the blessings of the internet too.

For example, try finding Pre Tinned 22 AWG 600V hookup wire in any Brick and Mortar site and report back to me.

Sadly, one of the best place for anything electronics related that we had in MD. closed it's doors after over 50 years in business back around 2019. We just do not have anywhere else like it anymore. Oh and they knocked the building down to put up a Sonic,.

Thanks 67,,,, I filed Apex in my GoTo sources files. Sadly let's say for example I need the tiniest of bits,,,,,,,,,,,, like 3- 4 inch pieces of yellow, 4- 4 inch pieces of blue, and maybe 6 inches of red 22 awg,,,,, Either all I can find is 16 AWG, or 50 foot rolls or other more pricey ways.

It would be so nice like in the days I could have gone to Baynesville Electronics ( of course I did not know any electronics when they were in business) andf would need them most NOW @ just before and just after they closed for good. Oh what I would not give to be able to drive 10 minutes to 30/60 minutes around town and pick up things I need off the shelf. As things are, when sourcing online, to get that little bit from Valvestorm or Apex like you, costs more in shipping costs than the wire itself.

I'm very selective what I will listen too...if it doesn't grab me and shake me, I just move on.

I'm very open about what I will listen to. I'm very selective about what I will listen to a second time. Sometimes I will hear something that doesn't immediately grab me but there is a certain "something" about it that will compel me to want to take another listen. Some of my favorite music took repeated listens before I understood and fully appreciated it.

And some took decades for me to appreciate...
I have to agree with this. The Bee Gees comes to mind. In my headbanger days I couldn’t stand them. Now they are far from my favourite but some of their songs are very well crafted and their harmonies are phenomenal. I don’t mind listening to them. Another artist is Leonard Cohen. His music takes many listenings to appreciate the subtle way the music and lyrics interact.

True story:
Keith Urban pulled a fan out of his audience - Robert Joyce - to play onstage with him. The guy smoked the opportunity so drastically that Urban hired him on the spot.
