Dust collection question

Do you use a cyclone/pre-separator?

No, I don't Ray. There's about ten feet of hose between the skate sharpener and the Dust collector. Run bare copper wire inside to prevent static. For the sanders and drill press, I just plug the shop vac hose into the orifice, or duct tape a snout to the drill press stand to suck up the dust. It's a Neandertal setup for now, and was thinking of going with a second dust collector after all the cellar work is finally done. It depends on how much free space I have. The shop vac is portable.

There’s some bowling pin trivia there. Not sure how many other states had “duck pin” bowling. Most bowling alleys are King pin, much larger. My mom was in a duck pin league for years, so I picked that up ages ago to remind me of her.
Yep I know exactly what it is. I worked as a pin spotter mechanic here in our town for a couple years but 4 or 5 years ago we lost our bowling alley from a heavy snow load. It was a standard 10 pin alley.

I miss seeing the popsicle creations that come out of that shop. Post more!
I haven't worked on sticks for quite awhile but I am building up a supply of fishing lure making materials. I'm gonna order me a air brush kit when my stimulus shows up.
I've been watching a bunch of how to video's and I think its gonna be enjoyable.
I think your clock was the last one I did Ray...

Dust sucks. Difficult to contain. Wet/dry vac is my buddy in the work area, but it's not perfect.
Currently sanding stairs and a wood floor.... my guitars are a few steps away from my work area. The dust is relentless. I had to setup a decontamination staging area to enter the jam room. Now I practice guitar in just my shorty shorts!! Yes, it's as HOT as it sounds.
