and for why I am in this non solder thread. I am fixing to do some soldering today as I work toward fixing my Laney Amp 50 watt head.
OH and I got one of the most fun Ferengi trips under my belt yesterday. I went to the same Goodwill Restore store where I got my first of 3 Target Tile Wetsaws for $50 instead of $1500+. Only yesterday I was hunting in case I could find some electrical gizmo I could scavenge some wiring I intended to use on amplifiers.
I told Ampmad and ivan how freaking lucky I got and totally unexpectedly found a friggen Solder sucker as I was fishing through 3 sweet scewdrivers and about 8 files. Mind you, this is not the electronics warehouse or anything like wiring related. and WTFn there is a solder sucker when I really was hunting just by sheer luck to maybe find a few yellow, blue, red and brown wires. of the right temp and voltage specs. WTF do I see a few feet to my left in a box of non descript unrelated stuff? AND it was the right dang rating!!!!

$2 freaking awesome BUCKS for this socket and 11 strands of 20 awg 105 degree C 600V wire . EACH strand was like 5 feet long too.
I am now processing the seven 4 inch to 12 inch pieces of wire I cannibalized off it.
Anyway, good luck Adrian and all who are messing with guitar knob removals.
