Another Tele Project

After much consideration...and a pole...I am very happy I got this one. I will not do any cutting. They have Tele sized HBs or overwounds for the neck and bridge. No belly cut because the back is beautiful. It is actually 2 peices of spalted maple with a red alder middle.

So, do you see the rabbit in the spalted part of the top?!

This weekend, I did the drilling, some crevice filling and shaping. This is ready to be sealed. Raw spalted maple is crumbly and somewhat unstable. I will be happy to get the Tru-oil into the pores of this thing to bind it. I will use this "slurring" method (see around 7 minutes). I have always wanted to do this, but never had a piece of wood that could use some grain fill AND where I was not using stain.
