Radio stations from around the world

When I was listening was 70-80s. Originally they were an FM station out of Muscatine. At the time they played pretty much anything that wasn’t Top 40. Basically “B” side songs. Cost me a lot of cash buying albums I may not normally have bought.
I used to listen to a station out of the Quad Cities back then. They played Dr. Demento on Sunday night in the early 80's. I wonder if that was it?

Listened to QC stations as well. Only lived about 35 miles south of Rock Island and Moline.

Dr. Demento might have been on 97X. Don’t think it was on KfMH. But it’s been nearly 40 years and memory does fade.

This is really cool man, I can listen on my phone some shanka punka songs from Georgian radio stations :)
But whats amazing is, looking at the globe and all this little dots show human existence in different places.... world is amazing place.

I listen to KPYG (pig radio). The first streaming radio station....

Because they do not play commercial (top 40 etc) music and no repetition of playlist. It's always different.

I love KPIG. The other station I really like from that area is KZSC from UCal Santa Cruz. Great programming on that station.

I followed the link in the original post, and DAMN! There is some awful radio around the world.

I live in an oasis, where I can dial in great radio on any FM radio.

This internet station in France is pretty cool. I can't understand a word that the DJ says, but he plays some great acid rock.
