I can tell you from experience running amps -- (solid state or tube) through BIGGER SPEAKERS is always a poop TON OF FUN
my 007 Bassbreaker combo sounds decent with its 10" -----it sounds HUGE and ominous through the 12" Peavey Sheffield
20 watt (el cheapo by some standards) solid state amps with 8" speakers ........run through the 12" Peavey sound AMAZINGLY BETTER and WAY BETTER than their price point
wanna have STUPID fun??????? run all your SMALL amps through a 12" speaker (not at the same time!) and see how much BETTER they sound .....................
then (if your not playing the Hollywood Bowl or the ALbert Hall) ask yourself WHY you dropped so much coin on that HUGE stack .....when a small -- 20 watt amp through a big cab---- at HOME levels could sound GLORIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and you cant turn on the STACK without the neighbors calling Johnny Law.

I'm stealing that. I am def the one who is amptarded. No offense intended toward anyone's amps. I just really liked the Marshall. Vox and Katana sounded muted to me. Idk?
