I like let the song dictate how I’m supposed to play. Because I like so many styles of music, I’ve never really chased one particular sound. Just a very good, functional overall sound. Besides, as soon as you play with other people you have to make changes so that the overall sound of everyone together is best (and everyone can be heard).

I played folk rock for 25 years with other people . Most of the songs were originals that we wrote, the band had the sound we wanted.

Exactly the point I was trying to make. It's not about any one person's sound in a band setting. It's all about making the songs and the band sounding the best they can.

LTD makes great stuff. I'm not fond of the stock pickups (The ceramic ones, they just seem pretty bland to me), but the rest is muy bueno.

No, but it's a killer guitar. The sound and feel is just perfect, the neck is one of the best I've ever played, and it sustains for days. That guitar has more natural sustain than any of my other guitars. Except maybe the Junior.

I love my Teles, but lately The Guitar With No Name and the The Junior have been top of the heap.

We all go through changes.
