Depth who needs DEPTH stay in the shallow end of the pool....its way more fun

if the spoeaker hits the back cover on the amp just remove the back cover ............its not really needed anyway ---I have a stack of jettisoned back cover/.plates/tremolo covers......truss rod covers......these things are just aesthetic ........wait what ???
TONE is in the TRC?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

It's not the back cover. It'll hit the amp chassis and/or the tubes.

Adrian Plus those Sheffield speakers are in COLO, and Astral is in Sweden, No bargain to ship there I am sure
oh sure Mark --- enter LOGIC and reality into the conversation,..............(buzz...........................KILL) lol ;)

Im sure they have Peavey crap in the Nordic states (is that Sweden??) -- its all frozen HELL to me ....-- but I bet he can SCORE a PEavey speaker over yonder

I have a Jensen C12N in the checkout basket, to replace the Celestion Seventy 80. Is thete any reason (other than weight) to go for the Jensen N12K instead?

Size (depth) is an issue here.
i believe they are putting the n12k in the new fender tonemaster amps and people are saying they sound really good. both the speakers you mentioned have a sensitivity rating of between 97 and 98 and the 70/80 is rated at 98, so there wont be much of a volume loss.

Yes they do and the Tonemasters seem to sound really good. It's hard judging a speaker from a youtube video so I try to find videos comparing them to a known point of reference for me. I managed to find one comparing the C12N to a Celestion Creamback, but there's nothing on the N12K. That's really the only reason why I lean towards the C12N.
