Backing track challenge

They have some great challenges on strat-talk.com. The idea is to listen to the backing track then hit record and play to it. Unless its a simple blues my improv skills aren't up to that. I usually have to record several takes and pick the best one or sometimes I play to it for a day or so then hit record and do one take. The last challenge had me stymied. I tried for days then finally recorded something and posted it yesterday. Today I wasn't happy with it so I recorded another go at it. I wasn't happy with this one either. Then I played back both recordings at the same time. It's a bit cluttered in spots but both takes together sound better than either alone.

i really need to get back to doing these challenges.....been kinda under the weather though and havent felt much like playing in quite some time.
seeing this thread and hearing your track has inspired me to grab a guitar and get back to work.

I've been kind of forcing myself to do them, mainly to support Monte, as he always had a go at the stuff I posted.

i kinda stopped right about the time everyone started fighting over stupid stuff. then stuff happened and i didnt feel like playing.....or doing anything for that matter.
but now i seem to be getting the urge to pick up a guitar again.
