I am in that boat as well, so I am trying to change it up a bit.I'm playing but eveything I play sounds the same. There's a definite plateau.

That song is girl song man wtf? LolLOL this made me think of vintage Axl

Some times the amps you see at a concert are just for show. The real amp may be hidden away off stage or even be a pedal board direct to the sound board.Amps and Cabs I know I have heard in concert.
Ampeg, Marshall, Hiwatt, Eden, GK, Hughes and Kentnor, Mesa, Matchless, Mark Bass, Fender, Trace Elliot and VOX for sure. But no one I know in person has played their Vox or Orange for me.
No worries bro
i will start on log as soon as im don with this![]()
Ooops sorry buddyWell, My original point in this thread was to ditch practicing for a little while, and just play something for fun without worrying if it is correct, or "good enough" or whatever. Just to turn off your brain, and put your fingers on the strings. Maybe experiment a little bit.
It has gone off the rails and become all about practice.![]()
That is what I should be shooting for as well. This thread might have gotten to me.
For the past few days I have just been playing. Rediscovered an old bunch of riffs I smashed together in some ugly medley that I used to use as a sort of warmup before jamming. Then something happened and I came up with a couple riffs that I've been building on and I might actually have something going on finally.
Same here bro, and once I have strayed I tend to not finish learning the song ..I will say this: I have come up with some very interesting riffs and chord progressions in the past by trying to learn a song, getting it wrong, and in the process discovering something different.
Everything I have heard you record has potential. You have some very cool riffs, and that is how many great song ideas originate. That is what I should be shooting for as well.
I also need to look at some of the short things I have recorded and see if any of the ones have any potential !!
Cheers
