I do love the feel of a good v shape, leverage for digging and meat to fill the hand.

FWIW, I do think it is easier to do fretwork without tuners installed.

I still pine for my old lead players ’79ish sunburst Strat. I know it weighed More than my P-Bass, but it was a tone monster. Wish I knew where it was now.

I thought you posted that Warmouth told you they could not do a Zero fret due to the truss rod type you has chosen. No?

Warmoth said they couldn't do a Floyd Rose nut with the vintage style truss rod...its not the bullet shape that causes the trouble, its how close the truss rod is to the fretboard.

Robert, I have a little consolation that makes the experience more palatable and easier to wait for/ All made possible when JTCNJ John was willing to meet my seller on a spur of the moment deal Saturday Noon to retrieve my new guitar near his house in Jersey for safe keeping. In addition I got to read his findings as he looked it over and make some adjustments and trial runs with it once home.

I cannot thank John enough.

Warmoth said they couldn't do a Floyd Rose nut with the vintage style truss rod...its not the bullet shape that causes the trouble, its how close the truss rod is to the fretboard.

Yeah, I surmised the closeness. I remembered in error not Zero fret but Floyd Nut was what you were after., I foresaw issues with the mounting of the Nut with how much meat is left up in that cavity area with the "Vintage Style T rod." And someone posted a bullet style pic. All of what you said makes sense.

Congrats, my fave neck is the Warmoth boat neck with the 10-16 radius, I have 2 and will order another someday soon.
