20 watts, a 12 inch Celestion one-or-other, a little box with boin-boing springs in the bottom and a few glowing glass bottles in the top. What can go wrong for $250?

The most intersting part was the guy selling it, in his 70's. He was a collector of guitars and vintage cars. Holy smokes, never seen so many vintage guitars and amps.

There will be photos.

Want a Marshall? Getting ready to send this SLX to hell lol

Congrats! Is that the SubZero Tube 20R?

Looks very Blues JRish. In fact I thought for a while that I was looking at a special edition BJr but the baffle is quite different and there's a standby switch...

@Astral Traveler want to buy my Blues Junior off me to compare? :D
Bingo! I think it's pretty similar to the BJ but I like this better, I was never a BJ fan.
Congratulations AT what does it sound like ??
Looking forward to hearing some clips !!
Cheers
Mitch
Yuu will hear them :D

It sounds fantastic, I mean really great. It's a bit of a one trick pony in that it does really clean, clean, and almost clean. It does that one trick well though.

Even with the boost engaged it's hard to push it into any kind of serious distortion with Deathtrap. I imagine humbuckers or P90's will be different. It's not a high gain thing though.
can we see some pics of the back?
you stole that thing at $250.
I'll post some later. The price was OK but not great, a new one is around $350. That however is unbelievable value for money, considering it comes loaded with a Celestion and at least some brand name tubes.
