My Tokai Pbass came with GHS 45 - 105 round wounds. I’d like to try some flats. Looking for recommendations for brand and gauge.

What's your take on the Glarry bass?I have a set of these on my Glarry J....they’re worth more than the bass, and are super smooth to play.
Short form: Cheap fun. Feels like a toy. Super lightweight. Big neck...like a club, but playable. Set up easily. Truss rod works. Hardware is all pot metal. Body wood feels like I could crush it with my bare hand(Dents easily). Rosewood board is made up of tiny strips of “maybe rosewood” bonded together. I have one, and that’s enough. I don’t regret the experience. I don’t crave another. It’s still here. What's your take on the Glarry bass?
Would be interested to hear a review by someone whose opinion I trust.

Thanks, I think I'll stick with the Squier I've been eyeballin'.Short form: Cheap fun. Feels like a toy. Super lightweight. Big neck...like a club, but playable. Set up easily. Truss rod works. I was looking at these. Thanks.
I like the sound of the stock strings but I find I get a lot of string noise from my fretting fingers moving on the strings.Been playing the factory strings on my Player P on all these recordings, they sound real good. it sounds like a P should. On the Jazz have EB hybrids slinky & on the Ibby EB Power slinky. Dialed in & will never vary. But a Ric & Gibson would be nice for new flavor
I always gravitate to Rotosound for rounds! Love them! Flats, and/or tapewound, though...La Bella have been fantastic here.not sure about guage but my dad has always used rotosounds.
those are fun but dont sound like a true flatwound IMHOI have DR Black Beauties on mine.
