An original Idea

I've been kicking around this idea for an original song, just have to get together with the band at some point and see if we can make something out of it.

I'm not saying that I may not have "borrowed" a thing or two.

You know that all of the floating around in my head from playing in cover bands for 30+ years has to take its toll.

I fully encourage originals.. it will lead you..follow it..get a bass & drums holding it up & then paint it colors..add some words,, absolutely would be lost in life if i didn't have the outlet to create on a daily basis..that energy always focused forward really gets me through,,,my life blows right now ..but i got a song..many songs to write & express.. have a mission & my days are booked forever with good stuff to do

I hear ya. My technology is limited, but I take ideas to the band and we fill in the blanks.

It is a worthy endeavor, for music IS life.

Yeah man..how many times in life almost packed the music in due to bad crap around me & noticed certain people have tried to take it from also. I work hard, pay the bills & everybody gets my time first, but to hammer me when i play or keep me from bands..that hurts. Then i bottle up..

I love it..truly in it for the music ..period... will be a moving company just to set up a show..generators shows..anything anywhere...

We get so hyper critical of ourselves...music can be anything..contrary to the internet shred stuff..a good song is from within..simpler... catchy songs are so nice. maybe the emotion captured somehow gets into it..it will always be special..even if no one listens..it matters..its yours forever !!

Definitely

It's all art, some of it appeals to you , some of it appeals to me.

But the art itself is what brings us all together.

Like I tell my buddy @Mitch Pearrow SJMP , that's why they make chocolate and vanilla. Some folks like icing, some folks like cake!

I agree. I have never seen another forum where so many people just post themselves jamming. That is how it should be. An exchange of musical ideas, not a contest and putdowns.
