Practice Amps?

They are at least double that price in Korea - and you can't find them anyways.

Great amp even at 450 euros, imho.
Agree It was a doble Price than Vietnam one. Both has 2 Chanel but the JVM1 has 5 tubes (vietnam dsl just 3) and it's build with a speaker load when you don't use a speaker cabinet.
Don't get me wrong the DSL1R it's a great practice amp. It has a great price. The JVM1 costed 1100 euros when Marshall launch It.

I found a couple used after I bought mine. Take a look on eBay.

They are very nice, t'is, true, but you need to be able to crank them a little (actually, quite a lot), so at low volumes, apartment volumes, you couldn't get the sounds even on the low wattage settings using pedals - where you live, must be great cranked up a bit (or a lot).
this is true. I live in an apartment, and I still say modeling amps are the best thing ever for apartment living.

The Vox obviously doesn't have enough tubes.

Just a friendly reminder that this thread got started because I’ve tried a whole bunch of modeling amps and they all suck at sounding like what they are trying to sound like. They are so uninspiring to play that I have to talk myself into actually turning them on (would rather play unplugged). We now return to our normal programming;).

ORIGIN!!!!!!!!!! (I now have a 20--- which goes from 20-3-.5 watt) -- loving it
I used to use a couple of ss amps for practice until I got the Origin 20c. I get killer tones at reasonably low volume on the lowest power setting. I also normally use an attenuating speaker ( Eminence maverick) or a little L pad I built to knock the volume down a bit more. But I love ,love this amp.

To each his own.

I grew up playing all manor of vintage tube amps, and I love them. I find that modeling amps work much better for low volume practice at home.

BTW, I still use monster tube amps for live jams/gigs, because yeah, they are awesome.

For sure! I mean, I have friends who have switched over to modeling wholesale. They couldn’t be happier.
My one bud has a full Kemper rig that he loves. Problem is, it sits in a room right next to a JVM, so its fraudulence is easily revealed (so he won’t gig with it). I just went full circle after a decade of searching for a low-volume, portable solution, and realized only a tube amp with a small pedalboard will get me where I want to go sonically.
Based on what I have experienced over the last 20 years with modelers I’d say we’re another 10 away from them genuinely matching the tone of a tube amp. I think that’s why they are all packed with so many effects actually - the makers are hoping we won’t notice that the core amp sound is pretty meh if there’s enough chorus and delay on top of it.

They are scary places. Stay above ground and out of the water whenever possible!
My house was built in 1800's. The foundation walls are all huge stone & cellar has dirt floor. Over the years the walls were block reinforced. Our lil town has some Underground Railroad history. Lots of interesting wall fill ins & tunnels in this town. I get to see very old dirt daily. Did concrete all but 1 area, just wild to see the stone wall & no kidding, is about 2 1/2 ft thick.

For some reason got attached to the old thing. In the near future ging to finish gutting it for something to do. Enjoy it very much. here is a corner meeting. Have to lift the center of floor main joist a hair. then Going to finish sistering joists on the front half of house like the back.. What is wild is the new addition construction tied into old on back of house. The original walls where slab board & horse hair & lath. The house had slab siding & then wood clap board then vinyl siding.

I'm all in on the 1 watt tube amps for practice. I can play with the volume on 10 through a 412 and it isn't any louder than a good stereo. Excellent control of your volume level and it still sounds good. Plus headphone out, easy to move, small, etc.

All the gear i get, no matter what..the end game is live band use. It must. This music thing in life i have experienced, is progressive since day 1 when buying the first guitar guitar..in my case..how do we get to the studio..then the stage.. its nice there is so many options available no matter ya music situation is..make music..lots of it
