I am in Deep DOO DOOOOOOO if one were to ask me for my Desert Island guitar.

MY Desert Island ONE guitar is likely one I do not OWN. but one I ONCE Owned.

My Desert Island bass is my Steve Harris P bass above. My cam does not get good pics of the finish, so I stole this one that someone posted on the web with a Blue Sparkle P and Mint green Scratch plate and Tug bar. You can see the beautiful Blue Sparkle and Golden tinted Maple neck. WHICH I love for looks and how nice they made it feel. Mine has the Badass Bridge unlike the one I stole the pic of in the 2nd pic.

It's a Player P. was stunned , always have American P's or Jazz around since way back... but this thing,,,the stock pickups remind me of a 1/4 pounders but a hair less hot but just as full. Put 60's custom shop in the Jazz..they are my workhorses if called upon. Have Ibby active if i must..lol. That means drop tuning band & fighting with 2 other bassists..i mean guitar players for the bottom.

Truthfully, I'm not really sure, other than I put a new neck (well, new to that guitar, it came off of a 2013 Cabronita Tele) on it 3 years ago.

There is a story behind this guitar. I had a good friend Kevin (he passed away just over a year ago) who was also the bass player in my band. He brought this guitar to rehearsal one day, and said to me "I think you'll like this".

I plugged it into my cranked Valve Jr amp, and it was love at first strum. The sound made the hair on the back of my neck stand up, and made my heart beat faster. I played it the rest of the night. He let me take it home to play with it.

A couple of days later I offered him a MIM Fender P bass in trade, and he said yes because I could get far more use from the guitar than he could, since he was primarily a bass player and only thrashed about on guitar (plus, that P bass was killer, and he loved it).

It had been assembled from various parts as a project many years before, and had since been used and abused in various punk bands. The neck was pretty worn, so I took one from another Tele (of which I loved the neck, but not the rest of the guitar) and put it on this one. It was a match made in heaven.

Long story short, It has been a favorite guitar ever since, and I affectionately call it the "Kevincaster" in memory of a very good friend.

I also got this cool Coffin Case with it.
