Counterfeit Guitars seized

Hah, I was a criminal out here for a few years when they outlawed high capacity magazines over 10 rounds. That got over turned I think just last year.

Unfortunately, RVA, Dono, myself all live in States that do not believe in what Founding Fathers wrote in the Constitution nor a human's highest priority, the right to defend one's life. And for reasons I cannot speak of that have been in play for decades now, our land is on a path to exist where the only rights we will have are what those in power will say we can have.

Oh how far we have veered from the world where a boy could say "the world is my oyster, I can pursue just about any wholesome activity, learn all manner of knowledge, freely exchange ideas and experiences, obtain skills a boy needs to equip me to hunt and fish and gather as I see fit to store up assets and provisions for the immediate and future needs."

Heck, as I know all too well in Marylandistan, I can't even buy, barter, be gifted, or accumulate a supply of extra cars or trucks costing from free to a few hundred dollars, and store them on my own property. To NOT even park them on public roadways, without being subject to threats of fines and court proceedings, if I exceed a State Mandated number that do not have tags and insurance, becomes a scenario whereby I am viewed as a lawbreaker, even if I am already tagged and insured on 1-3 daily driven vehicles and simply want back up rides in case I lose one to accident, mechanical breakdown or other crippling cause to need a replacement.

Needless to say, one can see where I stand on 2A, vs BIG Brother Govt

Lucky man. Not gonna happen here unless the US Sup Ct says so.

They will have to make a ruling on this eventually.

Magazine bans were declared unconstitutional by a judge in CA. The state got an injunction pending appeal, and the 9th District Court upheld the ruling. The state is appealing that ruling, so it will go to the supreme court.

My state has no magazine limits, so I can carry my CZ with a full 15 rounds in the magazine and one in the pipe.
Carry is a whole other battle.

I fear I may be treading into politics, which is not my intention, but ultimately could hypocritical of me. I am a member first, administrator by necessity. If anyone wants to call me out on it feel free. I will go back and do some "housecleaning"

Me, not so much...just careless operators. 20 years as a cop, 8 years military...that experience will change you...

I do recognize that the genie is out of the bottle and of course law enforcement and the military must be armed. I have many family members that have served in the military and in law enforcement and I respect what they have done and currently do greatly. I don't want to head down some political road, but I would encourage 2nd Amendment aficionados to read the framers' ancillary writings on the subject and not simply rely on the modern misinterpretation of the words. Intent means something, so if people/organizations/profiteers such as gun manufacturers want to use these words to defend their position they should also understand what the people that wrote them really meant, and luckily for us they were quite prolific in jotting down their thoughts. That's the last I will write on this subject.

Jesus, I hate guns more than I thought it was possible to hate anything.

And to continue in a non political vein here, especially since we are all adults and can agree to disagree/agree with one another and yet still be free to exercise free and judicious speech.

In posting both quotes, I can see reasons to support both of these statements, and to support the right of both sides to say them. Yet our laws and country ( used to) allow space for both sides of the topic to be one's right to express. Not so much any more.
SO, if I may add my .02. Gball is no more wrong to say he hates guns than Robert or I or anyone who has an opposing viewpoint are for adopting our side of the coin. Just like no one is wrong ( Ramo, Robert, gball) for saying they dislike Tele, Strat ( single coil) type guitars vs say a LP, V, SG, Dime, Firebird, ES type Humbucker guitar.

Also, having said the last paragraph, I also hold fast to saying that no one has the grounds to call out anyone who holds a different opinion as wrong or to be restricted from having said opinion. The point where it becomes an issue is when one attempts to force an all or nothing situation on the other side at the expense of the other.

Having said all that, MAN, I wish Robert Liked Gibsons straight from the Factory Dealers as much as Gball or Sp8 or BFT do.
Heck, I even wish Ramo loved Tele's and Session liked Peaveys as much as Adrian does. But since this is not the case, that is what makes the world go around and makes it a more interesting place.

OH and I am still trying to get over Sp8 selling off some of his treasures and getting back into knife making, and Gball selling off his Bird guitars to acquire another Lester. I sure love Lesters, I just wish their prices were closer to what I like paying for other alternatives. Heck, I even considered doing like gball and acquiring another LP. This time I'd like a nice WHITE LP Studio/Standard like Smitty's old one he sold AmpMadScientist. But, of course I got a detour as I negotiated for a hopefully sweet Epi V to deplete my cash a bit this Saturday. It seems I often get a little detour on my way to certain goals. I am pretty sure we all have made quite a similar path or variety in order to refine our tools ( guitars, amps, pedals) till we get the music we hear in our heads just the way we think it should sound.

As I posted that long message, I read my own words and I could not help but think, I wish All of us had unlimited means and space and time to not only purchase any and all of our dream guitars, but to never have to sell ones that are just a bit shy of our hopes but we love just a little less. Kind of like gball liked his Firebirds yet loves Lesters a bit more. I am sure if Cash was no object, he could buy all his pick of Lesters and still been able to have kept the birds still and enjoyed some measure of love for them. I think of a situation like how much I like my Epi LP, or how much I yearn to have my original LP back, but surely never will unless some incredible miracle takes place.

Ditto for some of the most awesome Pearl drums I ever owned in the just shy of 10 High end kits I once owned and since sold.

Well to pull this back into the musics genre, I don’t care for disco or punk :rolf:

I feel extra chatty today. It must be because I slept a little better than usual last night. I tend to do that when I sleep on the couch by myself.
I think I have slept on a couch more nights in my life than I have a bed. HAHA

I wanted to also add, I know all of my brethren reading my posts are better players than I am, and yet I loved guitars ever since I can remember.
I have equal admiration for a $200 Squier as I do a $10000 fancy Signature model this and that, or a custom built Martin etc.

Having said that, after a recent conversation with a former TTR member and current ETSG member who I know plays a mean guitar, I asked him, what are his go to Axes these days. I know he has at least 15 guitars of all brands to choose from, Hum, Singles, El Cheapos and 2-3K+ options.
He told me he is getting great results from his Asian made PRS Santana SE's. Great Trems, stay in tune, and not expensive to play out in public.
