Rockin In A Free World

Muy bueno!

Very nice work Norm, I always love your choice of material.

You definitely know how to pick the tunes that "click"

Great job! Really looking forward to your next "session"!

Keep up the good work.

Thanks Steve, for your kind words Brother. It is so encouraging, when all you guys chime in. I appreciate the kind words from everyone who listens in. I remember a time here things were pretty slow in this area of the forums. But my buddy Mitch, JohnnyGoo and myself kind of got the ball rolling, and now it has developed into more people getting involved, which is fantastic!! We have a lot of talented players and singers here on TTR. To me this is what its all about the Music, playing these wonderful Instruments and making them sing. So a big thankyou to those of you who support us.:cheers2:

I dug it, great song choice - Always dug Neil, had maybe five or six of his in my repertoire over the years, but here in the West he's persona non grata after he flew in a started mouthing off about politics.
Had a NY peace dove strap in the local music store for , and after a while they just told me to take it out because it was getting folks all riled up.
Felt to me like about 2/3s in you got warmed up and were feeling it more and those knockdown runs got smoother. I didn't hear no clams, you made it through and it felt like there was fire in there.
I dunno, I thought that was maybe not quite dirty enough, but really not that far off from where it should be tonewise. The fire comes from Neil hammering that paul.
Ever try one of these with a drum machine or like a cheap keyboard with some midi R/R drum settings? They can really boost a solo rhythm recording like this for listening-back.

I was never a fan of Neil's voice. As such, I never heard a complete song of his until last year when I had to learn them for the band.
As big a Neil Young fan as I am, I get your assessment on his voice. Not the best quality. Nasally. There’s just something about the complete package that I have always really liked. Kinda like AC/DC. Not a fan of either Bon Scott or Brian Johnson..... but as a package I’ve pretty much always liked the group.
