What's Your Favourite Guitar/Amp Combo?

I'm talking stuff you've owned. Played. Loved.

One guitar. One amp. Together.

Here's mine to start, but I wanna see yours and read some explanation:

I love SGs. My favourite amp owned was a Randall (a little RD1). I should love Marshall, have tried 4 and never found a blend that suited my guitars at the time. A couple of Fender amps, the same. Various others over the years; you lose count because nothing is outstanding.

I got this amp first; it's Vox-esque. I played SGs and half a dozen other guitars through it and never much liked it. I got the tele as an attempt to improve my playing (and practice time), but didn't expect it to equal my SGs. I was also thinking about selling the amp. Together - it just works: this tele and this Vox is my favourite combo I've owned in 35 years.

What's your favourite combo?

After the amp binge... Marshall JCM 800 2205 on Orange HP8-k100's is going to carry the load. Really focused lately. The 3203 will get a lot of leads with greenbacks.
Gibson SGJ 61 Zebra, 24 frets, excellent bridge-mid-neck settings. It was my first Gibson & was cheap but its my fav. No sense trying to top what just works for me all the time. The accident forced down time or would never have so much gear. It became a hobby in a way..so much has been sold recently.

These two, although the amp sounds good with anything. To me at least. You've heard it I think.

I have tried to find an amp that's better than this I've tried tube amps, SS amps, modeling amps, but I still haven't found anything that I like better.

That strat does look spectacular.

The Quilter is so hard to judge without personally having one - I simply don't know where/how to place it - it just seems so small to be soo good.

It is really small, it sits on my pedal board. And yet it slams out 200 watts RMS, if I want it to. It works equally well on bedroom volumes or hooked up to the computer. The last couple of clips I've posted with the Maybach were all srraight into the DAW with IR's loaded.

I have done one little amp review once, for the BluGuitar Amp 1. Perhaps I should do one for the Quilter as well. Most reviews show it either clean or driven hard, but there is a really nice inbetween sound too.

The best pairing for me overall? Definitely the Gibson Explorer Pro and JCM2000 DSL50 thru a 1960A with G12-T75s and a MF400B with G12K-100s. Ive used that guitar for decades now in different amp pairings and ive used that amp with different guitar pairings but together and in that speaker group, it stands the best for me. Can pretty much cover everything i do with just that incarnation
