Not sure how many here are on the farcical Facebook, but it seems as that original thoughts in the last few years, have been replaced by cut & paste memes.
Every post is "shared" from someone else's "news feed". Usually over and over. Talk about an oxymoron, news & facebook in the same phrase.
People are posting all kinds of propaganda crap from every questionable source on earth. Always negative.
I suppose what I just wrote could be considered negative as well.
It's a sad statement for human interaction in the 21st century.
Just venting.

This forum is one of the few places where communication is still real.:dood:
 
Not on guitar forums! Everyone has an opinion and they are scrutinized with a microscope. Take tonewo... Never mind!

Yes, there are a lot of opinion "adopters" out there, and the opinions adopted are usually at one end of the spectrum. It forestalls a sense of empathy for neighbors and promotes the idea of "the others".

Keep it kind, do the right thing, and happiness is far more likely. Peace to you all, brothers and sisters!

I am actually impressed (from a Fereengarian aspect) at HOW FOOKIN FAST FARCE BOOK SCAMS your INFO -- FEEDS THE AD SPIDERS AND PUSHES G.D>ADS to your farce book....
No joke
1. (it listens) ive had conversations (near my cell phone) about a PRoduct or service and the next time I log onto the "farce" book -- BOOM -- ADS ---for THAT PRODUCT before I EVER GOOGLED/searched it. (yes Im not kidding)
2. I googled info on a dog "training" technique which the article I opened was SPONSORED by "bullymax" dog food --- within SECONDS (not kidding) I had POP UP ADS feeding my farce book -- with BULLYMAX dog food propaganda.................
this is a level of Marketing that P.T. Barnum would have had wet dreams over...........
 
Facebook feeds have changed dramatically over the last five years. In the past, I'd see a lot more posts from my friends, their status changes, etc. but now I mainly get posts from the groups I've joined. It's not all FB's fault though. If I click on my friend's pages, I see that they don't post as much as they used to.

It's a changing of the times, and in the digital world, that happens a lot faster than other fads we see in society. MySpace was "the" social media back in the day it had a run of about 10 years before it's complete demise. FB has been running a lot longer.

What I have learned is that I don't have nearly the same amount of friends at Facebook that I do on Forums anymore. I have a few still, but personal views about politics and religion can obviously get in the way of civility seen on forums that ban these topics. And for good reason.
 
I left that festering poop hole platform called Facebook, almost 2 years ago and its still one of my all time best decisions. Never missed it, still couldnt possibly care for it but a place like this? Its what the hell Facebook, SHOULD have been: just a place to hang, BS with people without setting off a fight or hearing drama every hour on the hour.
