You have got to see this poop if you havent already. This article popped up on my news stream for some reason despite being 9 years old and I hadnt seen it until this morning. Oh boy is it a doozy!!!!

I'll spoil it now: No Hendrix, Clapton, Beck, Page, EVH, Trower, Blackmore, West, Walsh or anyone even close to that! Dimebag and Iommi get listed amazingly but #1 is Sonic Youth, 4 is Cobain and even DJs like Jam Master Jay who never played an instrument are ranked LMAO.

I think it was Rolling Stone that did one of these several years ago. Their results were about the same as these. Hendrix might have cracked the Top 10..... but barely. These Best of Whatever polls are generally crap. I’d like to know what semi intelligent person(s) come up with the results and how.

I really love a lot of these bands such as Sonic Youth, Dnr Jnr and Nirvana, but they are not great guitar players, decent, good, yes - the Funkadelic geezer, at 9, pisses all over them (he's superb) but he wouldn't make it into anybody's top 10 (20?).

The Edge and PJ Harvey are good pop stars, not great guitar players.

This fella, not on the list, is miles ahead of the five I've mentioned (and at least half of the others):
