It’s “New Kemper Rack Day”! After an exhausting week of tracking the trek of the Kemper from @Sp8ctre ’s coast to mine, I’m happy to report that it arrived safe and sound(thanks to the fantastic packaging job!(thanks @Sp8ctre :) )
This was the inner, factory, box...

It’s living on top of the rack for now. It fired up right away, and seems to be working nicely.
What would I break it in with?....

Of course!
So, using my studio monitors, and headphones, I browsed a few presets. I came across one that I thought was fairly trippy and dark and swirly and fun and.....well, you get the idea...if you don’t, I slapped a quick recording up on my SoundCloud page...

Recorded quick and dirty...with no, ZERO, microphones....that’s weird for me.
Please forgive my sloppy switch work...I’m still getting used to this axe, and this is the first time I’ve really played it while seated at the desk...

Thank you @Sp8ctre !
And thank you @RVA ! For pushing me in this direction, and helping me out!

Instant tone!! Sounds awesome!! The benefit of direct recording is equally translatable to enjoyable headphone playing. You can even pipe in computer or other audio sources on the kemper's aux in and enjoy backing tracks with your silent play!
Thank you sir! I left the output routing as it was set when I powered up. I will have to dig in to the routing to gain more control over wet/dry when mixing. Overall, this is too easy....I could have dug in a bit, and come up with much better.

Hahahahahaha! Sorry about the mess...it’s been a long dark winter, and I just get distracted every time I walk into the studio. Nothing ever seems to get done. ;)

Congrats man!
Thanks man! :dood::cheers:

Oh Hell yeah... :dood:. Super cool stoner chit! So, what the Hell was all in the signal chain?

DonYouBastard, that is very confusing and should be left to teenagers. How many diploma's and local authority certification did you need to pass before being allowed to captain that ship? &, have health and safety done their final check yet?

The SG looks great.

When I depart this $#it-show, good luck to anyone that tries to figure out what I’ve built here! ;)
Thank you sir!

If you upset a neighbour then they'd simply have to call the FBI to tell them "a terrorist lives next door and is planning an imminent attack". I'm pretty sure after a look inside that room you'd be convicted and put away for 300 years on 15 breaches of the anti-terrorism act 2022...

Yep, download Rig Manager. Welcome to the K club. You’ll only have 1000’s of presets to wonder through let alone tweaking many. Too me that’s the biggest chore I have to tackle once I setup mine up on the studio. I plan to pare them down to about 10 that’d actually use.

Awesome...

I've tried to warm up to them, but I'm too old to learn new tricks.

Glad to see it was such a positive move for you!!!

P.s. In the pro studios, we use either Blue Cat Destructor or Avid Eleven. Real amps are seldom used for commercial recordings.
