PRS guitars are an excellent brand, but I've just never bonded with them (my fault, not their's).
The body on this looks great. The PRS headstock is really nice. You know the hardware will be excellent. But the fretboard is that anemic maple look that does nothing for me (looks like the back of the neck is similar).
Really nice body wood grain, colour and contours.

I'm the same as you, I've never bonded with a PRS, (my fault not their's, because they make excellent, high quality guitars). However, this model is more up my alley than their Core models.
I'm sure the finish will age, and the neck will look darker in time.

I'm the same. There's something about PRS that really turns me off. I'm sure it's a good guitar but not for me.

The standard PRS design is good: im not passionately in love with it but i certainly dont hate it by any means. Basically its a Les Paul bottom with strat like upper features but its enough to stand out on its own and give itself an identity.
But them going for a full on Strat approach is like Gibson doing a Strat ( they did, much to everyone's horror with that Hendrix Inspired guitar and were rightfully mocked and shamed lol) or Fender going for a Gibson look ( the Starcaster was an anemic attempt at an ES335 look). It just never looks right and seems so wrong to me lol

who needs a PRS when VINTAGE USA MADE PEAVEYS can be had for 2grand LESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My buddy had a solid white Raptor that he got right after i got my first guitar. He ended just tossing it somewhere. Wished i knew that cause i would've gratefully snagged it! Thought it was killer
