Peavey T-Max

I figure all bass stuff goes in here, amps and all? Well I just sent a guy in Queensland $275 for him to send me this Peavey T-Max, possibly Peavey's greatest ever bass amp and amp used by Jo Bench from Bolt Thrower.

Assuming he doesn't screw me it should arrive at my post office in functioning form soon with its Peavey rack shell and everything. No footswitch but I can work around that. It is a three button 7-pin DIN design, so I should be able to make a TRS adapter cable that will operate the channel and EQ functions (leaving the effects loop always-on), like I did for my Peavey guitar amps. It's missing one of the EQ slider knobs. These are the images from the gumtree ad.

I never count birds until I have them in my hand, just hoping this arrives soon in one piece and I don't have to go set Paypal onto his behind ... I always feel this way until I get stuff, at least until I get some kind of tracking number

I've wanted one of these ever since I found out that it is what you can hear on this ... apparently live she uses two of them, a distorted one through two guitar stack, a clean one through a bass cab.

I am the same; waiting on a guitar in transit from about midway across the US to the east coast.
But I am getting more excited about it.

Cheers! Looking at this the last three pins after the ground pin operate the switches, just like on a Peavey guitar amp with a 7-pin DIN cable, so you could actually use the footswitch from a 6505+ or JSX to operate this amp's switches. I wonder how many bassists with these amps realise this. Also my JSX adapter cable (which send the last pin to ground) would work to switch channel and EQ, leaving the effects loop always-on, so I am set for a footswitch.

I haven't had a chance to test it out yet because I don't have a cab but the package arrived in good shape at my local post office today. I reversed into their loading dock and picked it up rather than them passing it over the counter.
