Sorry boys. Not a fan...... and I have tried. My father in law while visiting Scotland/Ireland back in the 90s brought back what he claimed to be a VERY good bottle of Scotch. At a family gathering he opened the bottle and shared. My scotch/bourbon drinking brother in laws were the classic smoooooth. It about turned me inside out. Same story with my eldest son. He’s gotten into good scotch and bourbon. Be like..... try this dad. Yeah..... no. I’ll stick to my cheap whisky and sprite.

I too like Whiskey and Sprite! Normally Crown Royal, easy mix

I've never been a Scotch drinker until about 8 or 9 months ago I started to try some. Found out quickly that Islay Scotch is not my thing at all. I have enjoyed the Speyside Scotches a lot. Whiskey from the US, I also can't drink regularly. I've tried. But for some reason, that particular area of distilleries are very good for me.

Islay Scotch is made from heavy Peat, so to me, they have a very strong smokey flavor that tastes like blended up band-aids. lol

I realize scotch/bourbon straight up is an acquired taste. American/Canadian whiskey. When a bunch of us were kids, not old enough to be legal, our drink of choice was Canadian Club. Straight up. Pass the bottle. Who needs a glass. :pound-hand:

Not a big fan of most beer either.

Wasn’t a big fan of wine back when my bride and I started dating and got married.... but stuck at it. Figured some things out. And found out wine can be pretty good..... and some can still be pretty awful. Found out silly things like a good red wine that works really well with a nice grilled steak. Try some chocolate with that same red wine. The wine will actually taste different.
