Road To Hell:

Great playing and tone Robert.

But man, your vocals! You are channeling Rory, fantastic job.

Great Rory tones as well, but damn if you don't do a great Rory on vocals, congratulations on a fine fine job.

Thanks, Man...I am humbled!!!
Your great guitar playing aside, you seem to have a real talent when it comes to capturing vocalists, it could be passed off as Rory to the unsuspecting.

It's like you have a certain "understanding" of thier projection etc.. Don't know if I can really put into words- hopefully you understand what I'm trying to say.

I am grateful for the depth of your review.

I try to really capture the "feel" of a song and I spent years singing these in the car, so that probably helped a lot!!!!

@steveb63 - I do better on some songs than others, but this one is a favorite of mine...

@steveb63 - this is the song that I promised myself - at the age of 8 in 1973 - that I would one day record.

It's probably my all time favorite. There's an effort to get a few of Jimi's phrasing on the vocals...

Eight years old huh? I was still playing with G.I. Joes.

I've always loved how after each line is sung there is an embellishment guitar wise to lead to the next vocal line.

I know Bob Dylan wrote it, but Jimi made it his.

He was like "Good job Bob, now I'll just take this off your hands" Lol

Jimi did that with a lot of music.

Beautiful job Robert.

Jimi had already passed when I discovered him in 1973, but he had a lasting impact on a little farm kid from California....
