I accidentally let this fly in the”New Jacksons” thread earlier today... I figured it should probably just have a place here.
I haven’t uploaded anything to my band’s SoundCloud page in...like...forever. They seem to like this track being out there though. This song was written in 1997. It was recorded in my home studio/rehearsal space in 2008. It is the third piece of a song that we just refer to as “Trilogy”. There is an instant of the breakout from the second part in the first split second of this, as all three sections were recorded in a contiguous manner...as one long song. It was tricky, but fun to do. I hope you enjoy it. :)

Sounds great!!!!
Thank you sir!

Equipment list????
Oh good lord! “Recorded in 2008” isn’t good enough?
We used a couple/few guitar amps, and speaker cab’s, a bass amp and a DI box, a Tama drum kit, a whole bunch of microphones, an AKAI DPS24, a profire lightbridge, some other outboard gear, and Reaper....amongst other things...like lots of cables and such. ;)

Thank you sir!

Neat, Man...you know me, I'm a detail guy.

Don I'm digging how well written this is. I like that it's adventurous, it's all over the place...tbh it sounds almost as if it could be from a lost Mastodon session or something similar.

Why only the third piece? Now I really want to hear the rest! Lol
Thanks Blink! It is a crazy tune indeed...time signatures were strewn about with reckless abandon!

The third piece was all that was handily available in my Dropbox...I’m floating around the house today, on an iPad.
I’d have to go digging through some old hard drives to find the full and unmolested recording. That would require turning on a computer...or two. The third piece is my favorite though, and that’s probably why it was in my Dropbox ;)

The reckless abandon is what draws your attention to it!
Where were you when I was pitching this song to my band?!?!
Do you have any idea how, “So I’ve got this really cool new tune....it’s really kinda heavy....it’s based on this riff in 11/8 time...then it shifts to 6/8...and 3/4...and back again...and again!” went over?....I got a lot of stares...the only one that was happy looking was the drummer’s. ;)
