Gibson buying Mesa?

I always liked listening to this guy, generally he doesn't mince words. Don't always agree with everything he says but more often than not, he does bring in some really good points.
True --- sometimes Id prefer drop an anvil on his head than hear his voice........but occasional he says something that makes me only wanna use a hammer....but this actually made me laugh -- OUT LOUD

Terrible news.

Mesa are an exceptional company.

Gibson have been an exceptional company at times and have had some excellent gear at times. Loads of shite gear and shite times too.

Mesa can only drop down as a result. Maybe sell more. Maybe make more profit. But, the products will not consistently maintain the excellence known up to this point for Messa products. Bollocks... :(

I tried following Glen Fricker for about 2 seconds. He can be colorful and give a funny opinion at times. But he has this elitist, pompous attitude towards anything HE doesnt like. He bashed Gibsons as being terrible guitars because some crappy band he was "recording" couldnt get one to stay in tune ( it was an Sg with a vibrola and the dude had it detuned beyond belief with the intonation out of whack for the record).

He brags about Spectre Sound Studios (which is a garage these days in Tecumseh Ontario) as being this phenomenal sound studio but i was only ever to pull up a handful of bands he recorded and none are known really.

He bashes other popular guitarists out there but ive heard him play and its sloppy on its best day, which is the worst kind of guitarist: the " you suck and that's terrible. But here let me show how it's done" only to ruin it even worse.

I think hes just a bitter dude who thought he'd make a bigger splash in the music world than he did, so now he hails the mighty Youtube. But thats just my opinion lol
