What Are Friends For??? - The Unintentional Creation of the'59 Gibson Les Paul Stage Guitar:

According to luthier Roman Rist, the middle Les Paul replica here is Slash's first from luthier Kris Derrig—the one Rist says Slash used on the tail end of Appetite for Destruction. The guitar on the right was built by Peter "Max" Baranet. The instrument on the left is purportedly Slash's second Derrig model. Photo courtesy of Roman Rist

Our bandleader has a new 2017 Gibson Firebird and a 1970's era sparkle top Gibson Les Paul. Our second lead guitar has a 1976 Gibson Les Paul Tobacco Burst, and I alternate between my black Les Paul Custom and my '59 Replica, so we got a pretty cool looking stage show...

I am enjoying your videos Robert. I am late to this thread , i see it was done in July 2019 of course i was out of town at the time, so i missed it , but am enjoying it right now, Good vocal work Robert, and the band is tight, nice work by all...Bad Dog, is BBBAAD!!

Do you loosen the string completely when you are adjusting the saddle?
Every time i try its ok one day next day its not....
every string change i re set the guitar up, prefer to move in small increments over a long time. Yesterday first movement ever on the 6 month 2020 SG Special, 1/4 on truss & a very small lowering of bridge. I move in such small movements that the its done while guitar is in tune. They all hold tune very well. Was never in a hurry to move the guitar much until i knew its role in the arsenal. What tuning it was going to be..what action. that type stuff.
