Beat up SG's & LP's & V's for me. The keepers all have great necks & resonate in my chest when i hold them in.

In my case variety helps cause of the sheer amount of music recorded..each one inspires radically dif & i stack em so they all sound dif in a mix.. based on pickup selection

if i error in selection, its to what i will play the most..no other criteria for a guitar other than be a player.
