I just saw an ad for 2019 Gibson SG Junior in mint condition, with a hardcase. It's pricy at $1000, a new one is $1370.

I already have the LP Junior (double cut), also 2019 model that I'd sell in favor of the SG. I only paid $290 for the LP and I could maybe get $500 for it.

After all there isn't a whole lot of difference between them but you know, SG!

So go ahead and talk me out of it

I'm a naughty, naughty boy and I should be punished. Where's @Ebidis ?

I thought I did pretty good on my £250 Gibson Lp Jr. It included a very nice padded gig bag. The truth is though that there is very little difference between the Lp Jr. DC and the SG Jr. other than $500 and a shiny finish. Plus I promised myself never to buy another SG unseen since the debacle with the lovely Pelham Blue Special.

You did really well with the Junior. I like shiny as much as anybody else, but I can get a cloth and some rubbing compound for a lot less than $500, elbow grease is free...
