This is the most grotesque abomination of music to ever happen. To change all the lyrics of one of the most perfect songs is sinful. To release it so close to the anniversary of Kirsty MacColl's death is completely classless. Jon Bon Jovi, you suck more than I ever thought you did in the past.

What the actual f$!k is this??? His accent is god awful and i guess he's TRYING to sound Irish on the track like Shane MacGowan? But its muddled and almost sounds like Bob Dylan having a stroke. Then he changes the lyrics to make it radio friendly and they're absolutely stupid " you're a squirrel cause you're nuts": Winner for dumbest line this year, maybe this decade. Just go play " Wanted Dead or Alive" and get the hell off the stage.

My wife loves the original song and i just let her hear this. She snarled her face in disgust with 15 seconds of him singing, then laughed once the accent part kicked in and asked if he had an accident. Sums it up

WTF!? This is one of my all time favorite Christmas songs. It's so good that it's one of the few songs that I actually have a vivid memory of the first time hearing it.

The cheesy performance and poor attempt at an Irish accent I can overlook but changing the lyrics!? Few things make me see red as much as censorship, be that self imposed or not. Censoring music, litterature, poetry or any other kind of art because it's not PC makes me blow a gasket. I'm not going to go further than that here.

The original lyrics are powerful and carry the story perfectly through the song. The changed version is just a mockery, it falls completely flat, changing the very peak of the song to something as silly as that, like he didn't even respect the song enough to make an effort.

I can name 2 songs of his that I enjoyed: Wanted Dead or Alive and Blaze Of Glory. Beyond that? I could do without myself. But no question: Bon Jovi were massive in the 80s
