What’s on ya board

i wish someone went and smash all his wah and ban him from using one. its so annoying every solo wah wah wah wah fliping wah lol
 I remember watching a documentary for one of their recent albums.. I think it was for "hardwired to self destruct". Kirk came in to do a solo, and after a few takes the manager and the rest of the band was saying "That was actually pretty good!" "good job man" so on... Kirk looks down, then looks at the others and says. "I need to redo that...I forgot to turn on my wah.." EVERYONE including James looked like they wanted to beat him with that damn thing :rolf:

And that's the thing. In moderation the Wah is really killer! but if you use it EVERY solo it actually becomes real annoying especially the way he uses it, like he is trying to match Lars' kick drum instead of doing gentle sweeps or letting it sit on the low end before pushing the highs to accentuate certain notes. nope! Kirk is full on "WAHWAHWAHWAHWAHWAH" Almost to the point you could probably have pacman playing in the background and it would sound the same.

I'm in the process of rejigging my board, after selling some items that gave me some money. Contemplated adding an Earthquaker Devices Afterneath V3, but then took a completely different approach.

Any guesses as to what will appear in that blank space? Will find out Wednesday.

The current iteration...actually really liking it this way, just got the Saucy Box but truthfully I can't quit playing with the fuzzes (Bearfoot is a Silicon/Sunface is Ge)

It's rare that something works out exactly like I imagined it in my head, but I'm glad that the Uni-Vibe I got today does. The Echorec is also a pretty recent addition. I'm quite happy with it except for the lack of detents on the program switch. That has put me off getting one for quite a while, but besides getting a real tape echo I'm starting to run out of options :D

Distortion / OD is a never-ending battle. I almost never use it and rarely like what I hear, so I tend to always rotate back to the DOD 250. But I think there's an EHX Flat Iron in closeout sale in a shop nearby with my name on it ...

No, they're not actually Marshall cabs, I just stuck badges on them. They're Montage cabs from a UK company.called Lean Audio.
18mm finger jointed Birch ply, 3 piece back with Celestion V30s. Less than half the price of an equivalent Marshall cab so it was a no brainer for me.
Nice! It's like my Traynor 4x12. Thick multi ply birch, heavy at 101 lbs, G12-T75 loaded, used, almost mjnt. Was $300 CDN. I initally bought it just for the drivers.

Got into pedals again cause the 2205 has such a good base tone on Normal chan..run it NMV like & work guitar knobs. Put the LaGrange at end cause it can be set so many ways. Using the pedals for clean boosts..adding gain to clean or boosting gain side. The LG has that boost at end that is so effective for a hair more on a stomp. Prob stick a Phasor on it for leads & weird stuff. Spending more time with the amp & coxing out all its capable of.800 board.jpg
