Doesn't matter what it costs...

They are already prepping the field for high prices in their add. "Limited Production run due to component availability".
This normally equates to $$$ and if it doesn't come at a high price from BOSS you can bet the secondary market will charge
a premium...

Maybe I should get in line?

It's tough to get your hands on a real Tone Bender, and since I trust Boss implicitly and all my pedalboards are Boss this seems a no-brainer. I'm going to see if anyone is taking pre-orders on them as we draw nearer - so far I have not found anything and they have not announced the price but its just one of those things that must be mine.

I had a Supa clone & really liked it, I don't know how high they will get, I think Waza will start at $150-$200 already. A real 60's TB is $500-600 & Sola's $6-700. If that new one goes crazy you may be better off getting a real one.

Sometimes Boss pedals stop production and the demand and prices soar. I sold my HM2 for 140 dollars. The FZ2 is the same way. It always drives demand for clones.

It looks like this is a really nice fuzz pedal, but I already have a good germanium fuzz that does what I want it to do, so I'm happy, and I'm not gonna spend crazy money for something new.

You're the BOSS, Gball!!!!!!

No doubt Boss will do a good recreation of the mk11 circuit (though it's an easy circuit to get "right").
Be interesting to see what type transistors they use, after all the type & especially the range (hfe/leakage) & quality of the transistors have a big impact the pedal's "sound" (ie; whether it sounds good or like ass). The OC81D transistors first used by Sola Sound are now rarer than rocking horse :poo:.The OC75 transistors that they also used in mkii's can still be found, though only in small numbers. Russian or Hungarian military types maybe, they're still plentiful & can sound good in these type circuits.
Whatever they use, a good mkii is a great sounding fuzz. Hopefully it's not too expensive Gball. Cheers

They're being pretty secretive about what exactly is in it. The few clips sound really great. I'm guessing this one will be in the $300 range.

If I ever spend $300 on a pedal, I am pretty sure it will be a Kotzen Tech 21

Wait a minute, I have one, It is just damaged from a friend damaging his and giving it to me.
Maybe I should get Ivan to see if he can remedy my issues with it.
