Thank you sir, i appreciate that!Well Done Sir
I am also enjoying thoroughly my 1 pup WONDER chosen for the Challenge
Right on! Great name for it by the way lolvery well. Has a ballsie grit no other Tele ive owned before could match --ol PHIL X might be right about the 1 pickup thing .....(for certain tones) anyway -- the neck is like an old friend-- and overall (Unlike several other Squire-- Jay Turser -- PEAVEY-- Xavier -- and several others I cant remeber ) I dint want to hit it with a hammer after 5 minutes.........I had INTENDED to IMMEDIATELY change the pickup and tuners .........however.....both work flawlessly......so the Vanilla Gorilla stays bone stock![]()
Thank you sir! Looking forward to your project as wellVery cool!! Slept in a bit today but clamped down the nut, retuned, notice that the tension on the springs need to be adjust slightly but for now it will work, for this project I’m not planning on abusing the Floyd rose. Got a bit further on my project and sounding good. May not be done this week but I’m trying![]()
Very cool Mike! Love the sound of that Marshall. In keeping with @Ebidis challenge of one guitar for one week, here ya go! Got to get home early, because it was a super slow day at work between project phases. Done on the Faux 335 straight to the amp ( JCM2000 DSL50).

I'm using my Harley Benton SC junior for the week. Only one P-90, but I'm exploring different sounds with different amps and effects, and it's been interesting.
It's not the one pickup so much, it's just that this guitar is a lot more upper mid heavy than what I'm normally used to. It is a very different sound and feel than my Teles, or even my LP standard.Thank you sir! And its impressive how much sound you can actually get from just one pickup if you play around with it. Look forward to the results!
Thats actually a class of pickups ive never played thru: P90s. Always liked them and was always interested in them, just never got to play thru one. Seems like the logical compromise between a standard single coil and a humbuckerIt's not the one pickup so much, it's just that this guitar is a lot more upper mid heavy than what I'm normally used to. This is my first P-90 guitar. Like I said, a lot of mids. It's just a different animal when you're used to single coils and humbuckers. I really like it, but it's never gonna replace my Teles.Thats actually a class of pickups ive never played thru: P90s. Ive always liked a Tele: my very first guitar ever actually and still got it. Never owned a Strat or an LP for no real reason.I got real Into the SG for years and thats all I knew. Still play it but probably for the past 15 years at least, ive been on an Explorer hang up. Really though, i love all kinds of guitars and find something great in every oneThis is my first P-90 guitar. Like I said, a lot of mids.
